On November 7, 2023, Bas van Buijtenen, CEO of LTS Lohmann Therapie-Systeme AG, and CFO Ulrich Sielaff welcomed representatives of Hoffnungswerk e.V. and Koblenzer Hospizverein e.V. to hand over a cheque for 30,000 euros each. However, the donation is only part of LTS’s collaboration with the two organizations. Further joint campaigns and donation activities are planned by the LTS employees.
“At LTS, we care passionately about our patients and about our communities – as a company, and each of us individually”, said Bas van Buijtenen. “We are delighted to create partnerships with these 2 amazing charities nominated by our employees. By providing long term support, we hope to enable them to do even more for their target groups. Beyond the financial contributions that LTS will give, our employees are looking forward to provide voluntary support in kind.”
“We are deeply overwhelmed by this kind of commitment and the willingness of the entire LTS workforce to work for a good cause,” commented Eduard Vogel, 1st Chairman of Hoffnungswerk e.V.. “It is inspiring to see how a company not only strives for economic success, but also acts in a socially responsible manner. This kind of commitment to the community deserves the highest recognition. Together we can really make a positive difference.”
“Support for people affected by illness and a shortened life needs a secure, broad-based network,” said Ina Rohlandt, Managing Director of Koblenzer Hospizverein e.V.. “With LTS, we have gained a motivated and interested partner for this network, who will not only join us in creating a green ribbon of solidarity for the annual Children’s Hospice Day, but also for the long term.”
As an important part of the LTS philosophy, We CARE also stands for the social commitment of our company, for which the Management Board has offered an annual donation of 60,000 euros. All LTS employees were able to submit suggestions for outstanding charitable organizations to be supported in their important work with this money. From the large number of suggestions, all LTS employees selected the Hoffnungswerk and the Koblenz Hospice Association as their favorites.
